INDICATIONS:
Voxylid is indicated for the treatment of infections caused by susceptible Gram-positive bacteria, including:

• Nosocomial pneumonia
• Community-acquired pneumonia
• Complicated and uncomplicated skin and soft tissue infections
• Infections caused by Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA)
• Vancomycin-resistant Enterococcus faecium (VRE) infections, including cases with bacteremia

BRIEF DESCRIPTION:
Voxylid (Linezolid) is an oxazolidinone-class antibacterial agent with activity against a wide range of Gram-positive pathogens, including resistant strains such as MRSA and VRE. It works by inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis through binding to the 50S ribosomal subunit, thereby preventing the formation of the functional initiation complex essential for bacterial replication. Its excellent oral bioavailability allows effective transition between intravenous and oral therapy.
